At Minds Matter Houston, our mission is made possible by a network of dedicated partners who believe in the potential of our students. We are incredibly grateful for the support of community partners like YES Prep, and especially to Nick Terrell, a counselor who has gone above and beyond to support our student recruitment efforts.

YES Prep is a Houston-based public charter school system with a mission to eliminate educational inequity and ensure all students are prepared for and graduate from college. We are so proud to partner with a school that shares our values and dedication to student success.

A huge thank you to Nick for volunteering his time to recruit and coordinate interviews with our incoming sophomores. His expertise and passion for education are an invaluable part of our recruitment process, ensuring we find and welcome the next class of high-achieving students from underserved communities.

Minds Matter Students

We're so proud to have his support as we welcome the next class of Minds Matter students. Our ideal students meet our academic requirements, are excited about and determined to go to college, and are ready to join a peer group of other college-going students. They are open to mentorship and personal growth, can make the commitment to attend Minds Matter weekly throughout high school, and come from low-income households.

Nick’s commitment truly embodies the collaborative spirit that drives our work. He has gone above and beyond to make a difference in students' lives, and we are so proud to have his support as we welcome the next class of Minds Matter students.
