The air is buzzing with pride and excitement at Minds Matter Houston as we celebrate the phenomenal achievements of our graduating Class of 2025! These remarkable young adults have officially crossed the high school finish line, marking a pivotal moment in their journeys toward bright collegiate and professional futures.
This cohort truly exemplifies dedication and excellence, with outstanding academic honors among them:
A huge congratulations to Ariela, who achieved the incredible honor of Class Valedictorian at Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston!
We're also incredibly proud of Katherine, who graduated as Class Valedictorian at YES Prep Fifth Ward!
And a resounding applause for Alex, who graduated as Class Salutatorian, also from YES Prep Fifth Ward!
These top honors highlight not only our students' individual brilliance and unwavering hard work but also the profound impact of their commitment to the Minds Matter Houston program.
It's truly inspiring to reflect on their journey. Just three years ago, this very group walked into their first Minds Matter Houston Saturday session as shy, sometimes awkward sophomores. Now, they've graduated with such incredible confidence, charisma, and a clear vision for their futures. We are so immensely proud of the profound personal growth they've demonstrated.
As they embark on their next chapters, we are thrilled to announce where these future leaders are headed! Ariela, Alex, and Emily are all bound for the prestigious UT Austin. Katherine will be taking her talents to Texas A&M University, while Melissa is beginning her collegiate journey at the University of Houston Downtown. Last but not least, Trentin is heading to Xavier University of Louisiana, ready to make his mark.
This year's end-of-year celebration was particularly special. Our senior class each delivered a powerful 10-minute presentation on a current event topic of their choice – a topic they were genuinely passionate about. They shared their insights with an audience of students, mentors, volunteers, and parents, showcasing not only their research and public speaking skills but also their intellectual curiosity and ability to engage with the world around them.
